The ACM Fellowship
Ambrose Conrad McAuley FellowshipDirect funding for Black American graduate students pursuing study abroad. Named for who it serves, not what we want to call ourselves.
We open the door for first-time travelers, and we stand beside them long after the trip ends, so the first time is the beginning, not the only time.
Founded by a fellow.
Built for the next ones.
We don't run trips. We make sure the students who weren't sure show up prepared, supported, and equipped to keep going back. Funding, preparation, and people who get it.
Direct funding for Black American graduate students pursuing study abroad. Named for who it serves, not what we want to call ourselves.
Cultural readiness, money abroad, the host-program questions no one tells you to ask. The prep that turns funded students into prepared ones.
Pairing fellows with people who've stood at the same threshold. Mentorship that lasts past the flight home, because the second trip is the one that matters.
AA works with four kinds of people. Pick the door that fits, each one opens onto what you actually need, not a generic overview.
Funding through the ACM Fellowship. Pre-departure prep. Mentors who've been there. Start here, even if you haven't told anyone yet.
Start with the fellowship →We partner with university study abroad teams on the personalized prep and post-program support you don't have time to build in-house. We complement, we don't compete.
Partner with AA →Sustainability and social-impact partnerships built for reporting, outcomes, and the kind of measurable impact you can take back to leadership. Specific, defensible, on-mission.
Explore partnership →Most American students who study abroad never go back. Fund a fellow directly, see where the money lands, and meet the student you helped send. No black hole.
Fund a fellow →"I am living my ancestors' wildest dreams. I'm earning a degree no one can take from me, in a country so unlike my own, and I've found a calm here I didn't know I needed."
Small on purpose. We've kept the fellowship cohorts tight so we can name every student we send and show donors exactly where their dollars landed. Growth comes after proof, not before it.
We don't promise outcomes we can't show. Reporting goes out every quarter to donors and partners.
Your support means the next generation of American travelers don't stop at one trip. Funding goes directly to a named fellow, and you'll meet them.
No roundups. No "we're excited to share." One real moment from the field, signed by a named person, with one thing you can do at the bottom.
