  • First-generation, Pell-eligible, and underrepresented students are encouraged to apply.

Questions, answered

What is the selection criteria?

Clarity of goals. Show a genuine interest in studying abroad and how mentorship will help you get there. Clear motivation helps us match you well.

Commitment to participate. Mentorship works best when both sides are engaged. Students commit to the full term and attend regular check-ins.

Alignment with mentor expertise and regions. We pair students with mentors whose regions or fields match their interests where we can. We can't guarantee a perfect match, but we aim for relevant guidance.

Is there a cost to join?

No. The program is free for students.

How many students are accepted?

Spots are limited and vary by term based on mentor availability.

Do I need prior travel experience?

No. All levels are welcome.

How often do we meet?

Plan for at least one touchpoint per month. Mentors may offer more.

Can my mentor help me pick a program or scholarship?

Yes. Mentors share insights and resources. Final decisions remain with you and your university.

What if the match is not a fit?

Contact us and we'll do our best to rematch based on availability.
